302.5C (S/N: GBB1-UP)

Description of Change: The hydraulic hose assemblies for the bucket lines gp are routed through the center of the stick assembly on the machines that are not configured with secondary auxiliary connectors. The unprotected hoses could wear excessively. Excessive wear could create hydraulic fluid leaks.

A sleeve has been added to the hydraulic hose assemblies in the bucket lines gp. The sleeve increases the protection of the hoses. The sleeve also prevents excessive wear.

Adaptable To: The 160-2243 Abrasion Sleeve has been added on the hose assemblies that are listed in Table 1. A 163-8811 Clamp and a 3S-2093 Cable Strap have also been added in order to secure the sleeve. The addition of the sleeve, the clamp, and the strap is effective with the machines that are listed in Table 2. The sleeve, the clamp, and the strap are adaptable to the machines that are listed.

If the hose assemblies show excessive wear, install the sleeve, the strap, and the clamp on the machines that are not configured with secondary auxiliary connectors. Refer to Table 1 for the length of 160-2243 Abrasion Sleeve that is required. Illustration 1 shows an installed sleeve and a cable strap on the hose assemblies. Install the 163-8811 Clamp at the stem for the hose assembly in order to attach the sleeve.
