Water Temperature Regulator - Remove and Install

Usage:

C32 B2C

Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or disposal until the coolant is below the level of the water temperature regulator housing. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".

  2. Remove elbows (5).

  3. Remove bolts (4), the washers, and spacers (3).

  4. Remove bolts (2) from water temperature regulator housing (1).

  5. Remove water temperature regulator housing (1). Remove O-ring seals (7) from water temperature regulator housing (1). Remove water temperature regulators (6) from water temperature regulator housing (1).

  6. If necessary, remove the lip seals from water temperature regulator housing (1).

    NOTICE

    Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

    Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.


  1. If necessary, use Tooling (A) to install the lip seals in water temperature regulator housing (1).

  2. Install water temperature regulators (6) in water temperature regulator housing (1).

  3. Install new O-ring seals (7) in water temperature regulator housing (1).

  4. Position water temperature regulator housing (1).

  5. Install spacers (3), the washers, and bolts (4).

  6. Install bolts (2).

  7. Install elbows (5).

  8. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".
