- Install the engine speed sensor into the 5/8 threaded hole and turn until the magnetic core makes contact with a tooth of the flywheel ring gear.
- Back out the engine speed sensor to 180 ± 15 degrees.
- Tighten the locknut (1) to 25 ± 5 N·m (18 ± 4 lb ft).
Clearance between the engine speed sensor and the flywheel ring gear ... 0.56 to 0.84 mm (0.022 to 0.033 inch)
Operating temperature ... -40 to 120 °C (-40 to 248 °F)
