Description of Change: The continuous flow of electrical current to the coil in the electric starting motor will burn out the coil. After the engine has started, the relay in the circuit breaker panel gp prevents the continuous flow of electrical current. A new relay with increased capacity prevents damage to the coil. The new relay increases the reliability and durability of the electric starting motor gp.

Adaptable To: The new 259-5274 Magnetic Switch Gp replaces the former 125-1302 Magnetic Switch Gp in the circuit breaker panel gp for the models that are listed. The effectivity of the new relay is listed in Table 1.

Replace the former relay with the new relay if the coil for the electric starting motor fails. The installation of a new relay requires the installation of new harness assemblies. The new parts and the former parts are listed in Table 2. Use the information that follows in order to replace the former relay.

Install a new 259-5274 Magnetic Switch Gp in place of the former 125-1302 Magnetic Switch Gp. Install two 085-7329 Spacers with the new starter relay. The spacers are added in order to avoid interference with the timer and other components. Refer to Illustration 3 and Illustration 4.

Install a new junction box harness in the circuit breaker panel gp in place of the former harness assembly. Refer to Table 2 for the new part number of the harness assembly. Refer to Illustration 1.

Install a new heater harness assembly in place of the former harness assembly. Remove the diode from the former harness assembly and install the new harness assembly. The new harness assembly has two diodes for the heater control. Refer to Table 2 for the new part number of the harness assembly. Refer to Illustration 1 and Illustration 2.
