Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat^® products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to engine (32) and position engine (32). The weight of engine (32) is approximately 2041 kg (4500 lb).

Install bolts (36) to engine (32).

Position cap (34) and install bolts (33). Tighten bolts (33) to a torque of 250 ± 30 N·m (184 ± 22 lb ft). Repeat for the opposite side.
Connect hose assembly (35).

Recharge the air conditioner system. Refer to Service Manual, SENR5664, "Air Conditioning and Heating Systems with R-134a Refrigerant". Refer to Special Publication, NEDG5065, "Air Conditioning Tools".

Connect hose assembly (1). Install tube (9). Install clip (4). Connect hose assemblies (2). Connect harness assembly (8). Connect hose assembly (7) and clip (5). Connect hose (6). Connect hose assembly (3).
Fill the hydraulic system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change".

End By:

Install the drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft - Remove and Install".
Install the power train guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Power Train Guard (Transmission) - Remove and Install".
Install the air cleaner. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Cleaner - Remove and Install".
Install the radiator module. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Radiator Module - Install".
Install the front hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Remove and Install".
Install the muffler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Muffler - Remove and Install".
