The Connections for Engine Lockout Must be Wired in order to Start the Engine {1450}

Usage:

3516B B5G
Engine:
3508B (S/N: S2A1-UP; S2B1-UP; S2D1-UP; S2E1-UP; S2F1-UP)
3512B (S/N: NSC1-UP; MRG1-UP; S2G1-UP; MKH1-UP; S2H1-UP; S2J1-UP; S2K1-UP; S2L1-UP; S2M1-UP; S2N1-UP)
3516B (S/N: B5G1-UP; PAG1-UP; S2P1-UP; S2R1-UP; S2S1-UP; S2T1-UP; S2W1-UP; S2X1-UP; S2Y1-UP)

The above 3500B Engines are wired so that the connections for the drive signal between the Electronic Control module (ECM) and the starting motor magnetic switches are routed to the customer connector. If equipped with air start, the connections for the drive signal between the ECM and the air start solenoid are routed to the customer connector. This allows the customer to include a lockout relay that will prevent the engine from cranking during maintenance.

If a lockout control is not used by the customer, a jumper wire must be used between terminal BH and terminal BJ in order for the engine to have the capability to start. Refer to Illustration 1.
