(4) Water Pump Seal Gp

Lubricate the outside diameter of ceramic ring and rubber seal (3) with clean water or with 207-1600 Rubber Lubricant . Orient the polished face of the ceramic ring toward water pump seal group (4) . Use the installation tool and hand pressure to seat the ceramic ring and the rubber seal into the pump housing. Remove spring (5) from the water pump seal group. Lubricate the inside diameter of the water pump seal group with clean water or with 207-1600 Rubber Lubricant . Use the seal installation tool and hand pressure to install the water pump seal group onto the shaft until the face of the water pump seal group makes light contact with the face of the ceramic ring and rubber seal. Install the spring onto the water pump seal group.

Lubricate the shaft with a light coat of clean engine oil before pressing the impeller onto the shaft.

Width of groove for thrust washer ... 8.75 ± 0.05 mm (0.344 ± 0.002 inch)

The end of the shaft must be flush with the face of the impeller within the following distance. ... 0.08 mm (0.003 inch)

(11) Taperlock Stud
