The 211-0592 Main Bearing and the 217-0390 Main Bearing is cancelled for the On-Highway Engines. Do not use the 211-0592 Main Bearing or the 217-0390 Main Bearing. Use the 317-8766 Main Bearing for a replacement of the 211-0592 Main Bearing. Use the 321-5746 Main Bearing for a replacement of the 217-0390 Main Bearing. This is effective for all of the above On-Highway Engines.

The material for the main bearing has changed. The new 317-8766 Main Bearing has a overlay for the upper and lower shells. The new 321-5746 Main Bearing is a bimetal bearing with an aluminum alloy and a steel backed construction.

Refer to Table 1 for the correct main bearing kit for your engine.
