  1. Align the tube assembly (16) with the connector (17) and the elbow (20). Loosely thread each end of the tube assembly (16) onto the connector (17) and the elbow (20). Position the elbow (20) in order to not create stress in the tube assembly (16) .

  1. Hand tighten both connections on the tube assembly (16) .

Note: Ensure that there is no stress on the tube assembly (16) from any components or fittings.

  1. Use a wrench to prevent the elbow assembly (20) from turning. Tighten the bottom tube fitting to the elbow assembly (20) to 40 + 4 N·m (29.5 + 3 lb ft).

  1. Use a wrench in order to prevent the connector (17) from turning. Tighten the top tube fitting to the connector (17) to 40 + 4 N·m (29.5 + 3 lb ft).

  1. Use a wrench to prevent the elbow assembly (20) from turning. Tighten the jam nut of the elbow assembly (20) to the HEUI pump to 24 + 2 N·m (18 + 1.5 lb ft).

  1. Reinstall the fuel transfer pump (3) .

  1. Insert the bolt (9) and washer (10) into the bottom hole of the fuel transfer pump and into the HEUI pump (15) .

  1. Insert the bolt (8) and the clip (21) into the top hole of the fuel transfer pump (3) and into the HEUI pump (15) .

  1. Reinstall the outlet fuel line by assembling the adapter (4), the tee (5), the elbow (6), and the hose assembly (7) .

  1. Reinstall the inlet fuel line by assembling the connector (1) and hose assembly (2) .

  1. Check all fluid levels. Fill all fluids to the proper level.
