Chain (Auger Conveyor) - Remove and Install
Start By:
- Remove the screed. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Screed - Remove and Install".
- Loosen bolts (2). Turn nut (1) counterclockwise in order to relieve the tension on the chain.
- Remove bolts (3), guards (5), and plate (4).

- Position chain (9) around the sprockets. Bring the ends of chain (9) together and install connecting link (8). Install side bar (7) and cotter pins (6).

Illustration 4 g01068702 - Apply Tooling (A) to plate (4). Install plate (4), guards (5), and bolts (3).
- Turn nut (1) clockwise in order to adjust the tension on the chain. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Conveyor Drive Chains (Auger) - Adjust" for the correct procedure. Tighten bolts (2).
