Electronic Control Module - Remove and Install

Usage:

Removal Procedure


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.


  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal at the battery.

  2. Remove two bolts (6) at the bottom of the electronic control module.

  3. Loosen allen head screw (5). Disconnect harness assembly (4) from electronic control module (1).

  4. Remove two bolts (6) at the top of the electronic control module and plate assembly (2). Remove the electronic control module and ground strap (3).

  5. Remove the washers and the isolation mounts from the electronic control module.

Installation Procedure


NOTICE

  1. Position the isolation mounts, spacers and electronic control module (1) on the support assemblies and install two bolts (6) at the bottom of the electronic control module.

  2. Position grounding strap (3) and plate assembly (2) on the support assemblies and install two bolts (6) at the top of the electronic control module.

  3. Connect harness assembly (4) to the electronic control module. Tighten allen head screw (5) to a torque of 6 ± 1 N·m (53 ± 9 lb in).

  4. Connect the negative battery terminal at the battery.
