Position Sensor (Tilt Linkage) - Calibrate

Usage:

992G AZX
Calibration of the tilt linkage position sensor must be performed after any of the following events occur:

  • Initial commission of the machine

  • Replacement of a tilt linkage position sensor

  • The sensor mount, the tilt cylinder, or the tilt linkage are disturbed.

  • New implement software is installed.

  • replacement of the implement electronic control module (ECM)

Note: The messages that appear on the diagnostic message screen may differ from the messages that are listed in this procedure.

Reference: For more information on messages that appear on the diagnostic message screen, refer to the "Calibration Messages" section of Testing and Adjusting, "Glossary of Terms" in this manual.

  1. Park the machine on a smooth, level surface. Also, the area must be clear so that the bucket can be fully raised and fully lowered. The machine must be clear of all machines and personnel.

  1. Position the bucket on the ground.

  1. Engage the parking brake.

  1. Run the engine at low idle.

  1. If the machine is equipped with ride control, move the ride control switch to the OFF position.
