223-9296 Alternators are Being Replaced. {1405}

- 3126E (S/N: G3E230-497)
- 3116 (S/N: 7JL3022-3688)
Alternators on the 3126E Truck Engine and the 3116 Truck Engine are being replaced. The 223-9296 Alternators that have failed have been giving no charge. There have been some cases that have had a open circuit that is inside of the alternator. If this happens, the alternator needs to be replaced. Since early January, improved alternators have been used. The alternators are being replaced with the same part number as the previous alternator. The new assembly process of the rotor coil prevents damage and failures. The new alternators are stamped with an extra P. This is stamped near the date code on the alternator.
