Description of Change: The design of the seal groove of the accumulator has been improved and a lubricating step has been added. The new design changes improve the retention of nitrogen within the accumulator. The accumulators are used in the cushion-hitch accumulator groups and in the axle suspension groups.
Adaptable To: The following accumulators have internal changes: 221-4563 Hydraulic Accumulator Gp, 221-4564 Hydraulic Accumulator Gp and 221-4565 Hydraulic Accumulator Gp. The updated accumulators are effective with the following wheel tractor-scrapers: 615C Series II (S/N: 9XG1749-UP), 621G (S/N: CEN382-UP), 623G (S/N: CES522-UP), 627G (S/N: CEX466-UP), 631G (S/N: CLR441-UP), 637G (S/N: CEH363-UP), 651E (S/N: 4YR414-UP), 657E (S/N: 5YR577-UP) and 657E (S/N: 6TR421-UP). The updated accumulator groups are adaptable to all earlier machines.
Note: The updated 222-3269 Seal Kit incorporates the new designs. The updated seal kits can be used in the existing accumulators.
