Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Install O-ring seal (2) on fuel transfer pump (1). Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
- Put fuel transfer pump (1) in position on front housing (7). Install bolts (3).
- Connect the fuel lines to the fuel transfer pump.
- Install O-ring seal (6) on cover (5). Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
- Put cover (5) in position on front housing (7). Apply Tooling (A) on bolts (4). Install bolts (4) and tighten to a torque of
30 ± 5 N·m (22 ± 4 lb ft) . - Turn the fuel supply to the “ON” position.
- Remove the air from the fuel system. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Fuel System - Prime".
