Fuel Manifold - Install

Do not allow dirt to enter the fuel system. Thoroughly clean the area around a fuel system component that will be disconnected. Fit a suitable cover over disconnected fuel system component. |
- Install bolts (7) that hold fuel manifold (4) to the cylinder block.
- Install check valve (6) and tighten to a torque of
35 ± 3 N·m (26 ± 2 lb ft) . - Install the O-ring seal on fuel temperature sensor (1). Install the fuel temperature sensor on the fuel manifold and tighten to a torque of
20 ± 5 N·m (15 ± 4 lb ft) . - Connect the harness assembly for the fuel temperature sensor.
- Install the O-ring seal on fuel outlet temperature sensor (8). Install the fuel outlet temperature sensor on the fuel manifold and tighten to a torque of
20 ± 5 N·m (15 ± 4 lb ft) . - Connect the harness assembly for the fuel outlet temperature sensor.
- Connect hose assembly (5) to fuel manifold (4).
- Connect tube assembly (2) and tube assembly (3) to fuel manifold (4).
- Remove the air from the fuel system. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Fuel System - Prime".
