A New Joint Design is Introduced for the HEUI Fuel System's High Pressure Oil Pump {1714}

Description of Change: For the applications that are listed above, the sealing joint for HEUI fuel system's high pressure oil pump has been redesigned in order to improve the sealing characteristics at the pump's mounting flange. The new design utilizes an O-ring face seal (Illustration 1) that will make installation of the pump onto the engine easier.
Adaptable To: The new O-ring face seal is effective with the following engines: S/N:CLJ04761-UP
and S/N:; CSN00340-UP

If service replacement of the pump is necessary, the design change includes service replacement pumps for these engines. This change is adaptable to first production for the engines that are listed at the beginning of this article.
