Engine Crankcase Breather - Clean

Usage:

446D DBL
Remove the engine access panel on the left side of the machine.

The breather is located below the air cleaner.

  1. Loosen the breather outlet hose clamp (1). Remove the breather hose (2) from the breather cover.

  1. Remove the breather element cover assembly (3) .

  1. Check the condition of the cover seal. If the used seal is damaged, replace the seal with a new seal.

  1. Wash the element in a clean, nonflammable solvent. Wash the breather element cover assembly in a clean, nonflammable solvent.

  1. Shake the element in order to dry the element. Pressure air may also be used to dry the element.

  1. Inspect the breather hose for damage. Replace the breather hose, if necessary.

  1. Install the breather element. Install the breather element cover assembly.

  1. Install the breather hose and breather outlet hose clamp.

  1. Replace the engine access panel.
