Description of Change: A new piston with an improved spacer for the nut is being used. The spacer is counterbored for the nut. The counterbore provides a more secure engagement of the nut with the stud.
Adaptable To: The 241-4949 Piston is adaptable to all of the 3600 Diesel Engines that are listed above. The new piston has the same balance weight as previous pistons. The new piston is completely interchangeable with previous pistons. Table 1 lists the former parts that have been cancelled and replaced by the 241-4949 Piston .
Note: The 241-4949 Piston is standard production on all Defense and Federal Products units.
