Removal Procedure

1. Stop the rotation of the flywheel by pressing the "Ctrl" and the "x" keys simultaneously. Shut down the system and de-energize the system before attempting to remove the lower bearing. Refer to the, "Shutdown System" section of this manual for the proper shutdown procedure.

2. Disconnect the 10-pin connector and the cable for the Load cell from the bottom of the flywheel.

3. While you are holding the assembly (load cell) in place, remove the six bolts that are holding the assembly (load cell) in the lower bearing cartridge. Use one quarter turns in a star pattern until the rotor rests on the shims for the rotor. When the rotor is resting on the rotor shims remove all six screws.

4. Carefully remove the assembly (load cell).

   Do not drop the assembly.

5. Remove the plate (load cell).

6. Remove the shims (load cell).

1. Install the following assemblies into the Bearing Cartridge: Load Cell and End Plate.

2. Tighten the remaining 6 screws in a star pattern. Tighten the screws to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).

3. Connect the 10-pin connector and the cable for the Load Cell to the flywheel.

4. Energize the system according to the, "System Startup" section of this manual.
