SOLAS Requirements For Oil Lines {1307}

The International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) creates regulations in order to ensure the safety of shipping. The Regulations are effective July of this year for all of the marine engines. New regulations have affected the current production as well as the products that are operating in marine applications. An increasing amount of customers have approached Caterpillar dealers about the regulation. The customers that are inquiring about the regulations want to update the engines in order to comply to the regulations.

Caterpillar offers oil lines with double walls for the 3412E marine engine. The information is provided in order to conform to SOLAS regulations.
