An Improved Spin-On Oil Filter Is Now Available {1306, 1308}

Usage:

3512 1LM
Engine: Commercial
  • 3500 Family All
    Engine:
  • G3500 Series
  • Description of Change: An improved 2P-4005 Engine Oil Filter is now available.

    The new engine oil filter has an improved thread design that retains the engine oil filter firmly against the engine oil filter base during engine operation.

    (1) New thread design

    (2) Previous thread design

    The threads protrude outward from the top plate of the new engine oil filter. The threads protrude inward on the previous design. The design change will substantially increase the engine oil filter's retention to the engine oil filter base over a wide range of engine speed.

    Adaptable To: The newly designed engine oil filter is adaptable to all 3500 applications that are equipped with spin-on oil filters. The 2P-4005 Engine Oil Filter should be used as a replacement to all other part numbers for spin-on oil filters for the 3500 engine.

    Failure to use the 2P-4005 Engine Oil Filter may result in a severe oil leak between the engine oil filter base and the engine oil filter. Engine damage could result.
