    ------ WARNING! ------

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.

Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.

Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.

    ----------------------

  1. The following steps are for the removal of spool (25) from valve (11) :

    1. Position valve (11) on wood blocks, as shown.

    1. Use a punch to drive pin (26) into valve (11) until pin (26) is clear of spool (25). Do not remove the punch at this time.

    1. Use a screwdriver to slightly depress spool (25) .

    1. Remove the punch from pin (26) .

    1. Slowly remove the screwdriver from spool (25). This will relieve the spring force that is against spool (25) .
