Correction to the Disassembly and Assembly , "Transmission Hydraulic Control Valve - Disassemble" {3073, 3167}

Wheel Loader:
966F Series II (S/N: 1SL1-UP; 9YJ1-UP; 8BG2000-UP)
Disassembly and Assembly, SENR5923, "966F Series II Wheel Loader Power Train", "Transmission Hydraulic Control Valve - Disassemble". This module is part of Service Manual, SENR5850.

A portion of the existing information is incorrect. Replacing Step 2 and Step 3 for installation of the solenoid valve into the transmission hydraulic control valve with the following information

  1. Check the condition of the three O-ring seals on the cartridge (1). Replace the O-ring seals with new parts, as needed.

  1. Install the solenoid valve to the transmission hydraulic control valve by the following steps:

    1. Install cartridge (1) on manifold (3). Tighten the cartridge to a torque of 50 ± 5 N·m (37 ± 4 lb ft).

    1. For the 3E-3748 Solenoid Valve , tighten the nut to 5.0 ± 0.5 N·m (44 ± 4 lb in). For the 147-5399 Solenoid Valve, tighten the nut to 9.0 ± 0.5 N·m (80 ± 5 lb in).

    1. Install electrical connector (4) to the support clip.

Repeat these two steps for installation of the remaining solenoid valves.
