Parallel Cabinet Controller Board - Remove and Install

Parallel Cabinet Controller Board

Removal Procedure

  1. Place the system in bypass mode by turning the key switch to the "Bypass" position.

  1. Isolate the system from the load by closing the bypass circuit breaker.

  1. Open the circuit breaker for the output of the system.

  1. Open the AC circuit breaker for the input of the system.

  1. Allow the capacitor banks to bleed down for approximately 5 minutes.

    Note: When the flywheel is spinning, the following components are energized: the bus, the armature leads and the fuses. Accomplish the procedure as quickly as possible. During the procedure, the rotor is spinning on the bottom bearing.

  1. Label all the input wires and all of the output wires.

  1. Disconnect the "+24V POWER" connector from terminal "J1" (10) .

  1. Disconnect the "SIOD" connector from terminal "J14" (8) .

  1. Disconnect the "SIOD" connections from terminal "J11" (7) .

  1. Disconnect the "SSI" connections from terminal "J7" (6) .

  1. Disconnect the "SIO" connections from terminal "J2" (5) .

  1. Disconnect the "ACI" connections from terminal "J4" (4) .

  1. Disconnect the "SIO" connections from terminal "J3" (3) .

  1. Disconnect the "FAN" connections from terminal "J6" (1) .

  1. Disconnect the "PUI" connections from terminal "J5" (2) .

  1. Disconnect the "STSW" connections from terminal "J12" (9) .

  1. Remove the Parallel Cabinet Controller Board.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the Parallel Cabinet Controller Board.

  1. Connect the "STSW" connections from terminal "J12" (9) .

  1. Connect the "PUI" connections to terminal "J5" (2) .

  1. Connect the "FAN" connections to terminal "J6" (1) .

  1. Connect the "SIO" connections to terminal "J3" (3) .

  1. Connect the "ACI" connections to terminal "J4" (4) .

  1. Connect the "SIO" connections to terminal "J2" (5) .

  1. Connect the "SSI" connections to terminal "J7" (6) .

  1. Connect the "SIOD" connections to terminal "J11" (7) .

  1. Connect the "SIOD" connector to terminal "J14" (8) .

  1. Connect the "+24V POWER" connector to terminal "J1" (10) .

  1. Close the AC circuit breaker for the input of the system.

  1. Close the circuit breaker for the output of the system.

  1. Calibrate the AC Voltages. Calibrate the AC Currents.

  1. Place the system in the circuit by opening the bypass circuit breaker.

  1. Place the system in the "online" mode by turning the key switch to the "Online" position.
