Washer Pump Assemblies Must Be Primed Properly {7306}

    The following washer pump assemblies are centrifugal pump assemblies: 7T-8890 Washer Pump As, 7T-8891 Washer Pump As, 6T-1375 Washer Pump As, 117-2826 Washer Pump As and 223-3383 Washer Pump As

    Centrifugal pump assemblies are not self-priming. Centrifugal pump assemblies must be primed properly in order to operate correctly. Refer to the following procedure in order to prime a centrifugal pump assembly.

    Priming Procedure

      (1) Washer pump assembly

      (2) Outlet hose

      (3) Inlet hose

    1. Install the washer pump assembly and install all the hoses.

    1. Fill the reservoir with washer fluid.

    1. Disconnect pump outlet hose (2) .

    1. Once fluid flows out of pump assembly (1), connect pump outlet hose (2) .

    1. The pump is now primed and ready for operation.

    Note: If the tank is allowed to run out of fluid, the pump will need to be primed again. Follow Steps 2 through 5 in order to prime the pump.

    Note: Use the appropriate antifreeze for temperatures that are below freezing.
