Errors have been found in the illustrations for the installation of the speed-timing wheel in Troubleshooting, RENR5910-01, "Engine Speed/Timing Sensor". The manual has been corrected and the new revision is available on SIS. The paper version of Troubleshooting, RENR5910-02, "Engine Speed/Timing Sensor" will be available in 2003.
Illustration 417 on page 493 and illustration 426 on page 497 of Troubleshooting, RENR5910-01, "Engine Speed/Timing Sensor" are illustrations that are intended for G3600 Vee engines. It is important to note that the cam rotates in a counterclockwise direction on G3600 In-line engines. The cam rotates in a clockwise direction on G3600 Vee engines. The speed-timing sensor should always be aligned with the tooth that follows the extra tooth when the camshaft pin has been installed.
