Note: Do Not use actuator rod of wastegate (14) to lift the turbocharger.

  4. Apply Tooling (A) to nuts (6). Install nuts (6). Tighten the nuts to a torque of 44 N·m (32 lb ft).

  5. If necessary, install studs (11) in the turbocharger housing. Install gasket (8) over studs (11).

Note: Do Not use any sealant on the gasket.

  6. Position elbow (3) on the studs. Apply Tooling (A) to nuts (4). Install nuts (4). Tighten the nuts to a torque of 22 N·m (16 lb ft). Install the exhaust pipe on elbow (3). Tighten the clamps.

  7. Install the oil drain tube assembly (12) in the hose. Install gasket (9) and install bolts (17). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 20 N·m (15 lb ft). Tighten clamp (18) to a torque of 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  8. Lubricate the bearing housing with clean engine oil.

  9. If necessary, install adapter (13) in the cylinder block. Tighten the adapter to a torque of 25 N·m (18 lb ft). Install the oil drain tube assembly (2) in adapter (13).

  10. Install gasket (5) and install bolts (1). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  11. Tighten nut (10). Tighten the nut to a torque of 23 N·m (17 lb ft).
