The Electronic Control Module (ECM) detects the following conditions:

• The transmission oil pressure is greater than the value that is programmed in the monitoring system parameter for "High Transmission Oil Pressure".

• The parameter for the "Transmission Oil Pressure Sensor" is programmed to "Installed".

System Response:

The ECM will log the warning. The warning lamp will come on and the warning will be transmitted to the display.

• There may be a problem with the transmission oil pressure sensor.

Test Step 1. Inspect the Circuit Components and the Wiring

1. Inspect the wiring and the connector for the transmission oil pressure sensor for damage or loose connections.

2. Remove the transmission oil pressure sensor and inspect the sensor for damage.

Expected Result:

The transmission oil pressure sensor is not damaged and the wiring is OK.

Results:

• OK - The sensor is operating properly and the wiring is OK.

  Repair: Refer to the information that is provided by the OEM for the transmission.

  Stop.

• Not OK -

  Repair: Repair the components or replace the faulty components.Verify that the repair eliminates the problem.

  Stop.
