Removal Procedure

1. Loosen the clamps and remove hose (1). Loosen the clamps and remove hose (5).

2. Remove bolts (2) and remove crankcase breather (4) from bracket (3).

3. If necessary, remove the bolts that secure bracket (3) to the cylinder block.

4. If necessary, loosen nut (8) and remove valve (6) from elbow (9). Remove elbow (9) from adapter (7). Remove adapter (7) from the cylinder block.

1. Install adapter (7) in the cylinder block. Tighten the adapter to a torque of 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

2. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of valve (6). Install valve (6 ) in elbow (9). Tighten nut (8) finger tight. Tighten the nut for an additional 1 1/4 turn.

3. Position bracket (3) on the cylinder block. Install the bolts and tighten to a torque of 44 N·m (32 lb ft).

4. Position crankcase breather (4) on bracket (3) and install bolts (2). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 9 N·m (80 lb in).

5. Install hose (1) and tighten the clamps. Install hose (5) and tighten the clamps.
