The revised Special Instruction, SEHS9597, "Instructions for the Service Replacement of the Turbocharger (for Turbocharged Engines Only)" is available. This special instruction provides information that relates to the installation of the turbocharger. This special instruction will document the following steps:
- Critical areas of inspection due to possible damage or contamination from the old turbocharger
- The procedure for the realignment of the end housings of the new turbocharger during assembly
- The procedure for securing the locking tabs on the housing bolts
- The procedure for the installation and for the prelubing of the new turbocharger
This revised special instruction is available through normal literature ordering channels. The revised Special Instruction, SEHS9597, "Instructions for the Service Replacement of the Turbocharger (for Turbocharged Engines Only)" is also available for electronic distribution in the Service Information System (SIS).
