Water Temperature Regulator - Test

Usage:

C1.5 TAF

Personal injury can result from escaping fluid under pressure.

If a pressure indication is shown on the indicator, push the release valve in order to relieve pressure before removing any hose from the radiator.

  1. Remove the water temperature regulator from the engine.

  1. Hang the water temperature regulator in a pan of water. The water temperature regulator must be below the surface of the water and away from the sides of the pan.

  1. Raise the temperature of the water gradually. Stir the water in the pan. This will distribute the temperature throughout the pan. Record the opening and the fully open temperatures. Refer to Specifications, "Water Temperature Regulator" for the opening and fully open temperatures of the water temperature regulator.

Note: The opening temperature is stamped on the water temperature regulator.

Note: Three to five minutes will be required before the water temperature regulator starts to open.
