Screen for Alarm List (1) Button for "ACKNOWLEDGE" (2) Button for "RELAY RESET" (3) Button for "ALARM HISTORY" (4) Button for scrolling in the Up direction (5) Button for help (6) Button for scrolling in the Down direction |
Each alarm is listed with the following items:
- Date
- Event time
- Alarm code
- Acknowledge time
This information shows the time and the date that an event entered an alarm state. When an active alarm is acknowledged, the acknowledge time will appear. The inactive acknowledged alarms will not be displayed on the screen for alarm list.
Use the buttons for direction in order to scroll through the alarm list. A description of the alarm may be viewed by touching the button for help (5) .
Alarms are acknowledged as a group by touching the button for "ACKNOWLEDGE". All alarms are acknowledged as a group by turning the ECS to the "OFF RESET" position.
Personal injury or death can result from the engine starting. The engine can start and injure persons working on or near the engine. Be sure the engine cannot be started while service work is being performed. This is very important when the engine is equipped with an Automatic Start Stop System. On engines equipped with an air starting system, close the air supply valve to the air starting motor before service work is begun. |
The system may activate unexpectedly if the system is in the automatic mode. Remote starting may be active and remote starting may be enabled while the alarms are acknowledged with the icon for "ACKNOWLEDGE". The system will then activate if the system is in the automatic mode. Disable remote starting before acknowledging an alarm if starting is not desired. See OMM, "Setup Screen".
Touching the "RELAY RESET" button has the same effect as touching the reset button on the front of the following relays:
- Generator Multifunction Relays (GMR)
- Utility Multifunction Relays (UMR)
The "RELAY RESET" button resets the active targets on these protective relays.
The screen for "ALARM HISTORY" can be accessed by touching the button for "ALARM HISTORY" (3). The screen for "ALARM HISTORY" contains a list of alarms. As many as 100 alarms may appear on the screen for "ALARM HISTORY". The newest alarm is displayed at the top of the list. The "ALARM HISTORY" may be viewed by using the buttons for direction. All alarms are logged into the "ALARM HISTORY" and all alarms remain in the "ALARM HISTORY" until 100 newer alarms occur.

The buttons for vertical movement (8) move the cursor up one page at a time or down one page at a time.
The screen for "ALARM HISTORY" displays the time of the alarm event and the time of alarm acknowledgment.
