- 将新气门放入气门导管内。
- 将千分表和磁性座置于缸盖表面。
- 升起气门头边缘，直至距离为
15.0 mm (0.60 in) 。 - 径向移动气门，使其远离千分表。 确保气门尽量远离千分表。 将千分表接触点定位到气门头边缘。 将千分表指针位置归零。
- 径向移动气门，使其尽可能靠近千分表。 记录千分表上指示的移动距离。 如果此距离大于气门在气门导管中的最大间隙，则需更换气门导管。 有关气门在气门导管中的最大间隙，请参阅技术规格, "缸盖气门"。
