A New Piston and Piston Rings Are Now Available {1214, 1215}

Description of Change: A new piston and piston rings is now available for the 3406E engine. The former piston and piston rings have been replaced by an improved design that has a new oil cooling gallery and new piston rings.
Adaptable To: The new piston and piston rings are effective with the engines that are listed above and adaptable to S/N:6BR1-UP
, S/N:; 9NN1-UP
, S/N:; 1MZ1-UP
, and C-15 S/N:BEM1-UP
. The new piston and piston rings replace the former piston and piston rings. When it is necessary to replace a former piston, all of the pistons must be replaced with the new piston and piston rings due to a change in the mass of the piston. The following table contains the group part numbers for the piston and piston rings.
