Installation Procedure

1. Install two guide bolts (7) into the cylinder head, as shown. The guide bolts are used to keep gasket (6) and air inlet manifold (5) in position on the cylinder head during installation.

2. Put gasket (6) in position on the engine.

3. Put air inlet manifold (5) in position on the engine.

4. Install six of the eight bolts (3) and remove two guide bolts (7). Install the remaining two bolts (3) .

5. Install tube (4) for the engine oil level gauge.

6. Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

7. Install breather tube (1) onto the engine.

8. Install coolant tube (2) onto the engine.

End By:

1. Install the fuel injection lines. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Injection Lines - Remove and Install".
2. Install the air inlet elbow. Refer to Disassembly and assembly, "Air Inlet Elbow - Remove and Install".
