Removal Procedure

Disconnect batteries before performance of any service work. |

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
Note: Disconnect all electrical connections to the electric starting motor before proceeding. Mark all connections for later installation.
- Remove three nuts (1) .

- Remove electric starting motor (2) from the engine.
Installation procedure
- Put electric starting motor (2) in position on the engine.

- Install three nuts (1) .
- Tighten the three nuts to a torque of 44 N·m (32 lb ft).
Note: Reconnect all electrical connections to the electric starting motor before you operate the engine.
