Improper handling can damage the ceramic seal that is used in the water pumps. If the shaft is not properly supported during shipping or if the shaft is bumped during installation, the ceramic seal that is internal to the pump may crack. The crack will cause a coolant leak from the weep hole. Do not make hard contact with the shaft or with the impeller during installation of the pump. Completely insert the pump during installation. Do not allow the shaft or the impeller to support the weight of the pump during installation.
