Reference: Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7373, "Product Link 101"

This Special Instruction provides the installation procedure for the 192-9110 Timer (Inline). This Special Instruction is applicable to Product Link 101 modules that were originally installed without an inline timer. On new installations, refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7373, "Product Link 101" for complete installation instructions for the Product Link 101.

Inline timer and adhesive strips

The inline timer minimizes the Product Link 101 module's power consumption on equipment that is inactive. On inactive equipment, the inline timer will keep the Product Link 101 module at normal power levels for 72 hours. If the machine remains inactive for more than 72 hours, the inline timer switches the Product Link 101 module to a mode that consumes less power. In this mode, the inline timer will supply full power to the Product Link 101 module for one hour per day in order to determine the position and hours. This will continue for the next 96 hours. After a machine is inactive for a total of 168 hours, the Product Link 101 module will become inactive. The module will return to normal operation when the engine is started.
