There is some confusion on the meaning of the "Ack Time" and the "Ack #" columns of the VIMSpc99 Event Report. The explanation that follows describes the meaning of each column.
Illustration 1 | g00716984 |
A sample of the VIMSpc99 Event Report. (1) "Ack Time" column (2) "Ack #" column |
"Ack Time" - This is the time that the event was active from the start of the event until the operator acknowledged the event for the first time.
"Ack #" - This is the number of times that the operator acknowledged the event while the event was active.
An example of "acknowledgment time" is given below:
Event Description     | Operator     | Event Duration     |
Link     | Fault Indicator     |
Ack Time     |
Ack #     |
Lo Strg Pres     | 7213806     | 00:02:27     |     |     | 00:00:50     | 3     |
The "Ack Time" for an event is listed as 50 seconds and the "Ack #" for the same event is listed as 3. The EVENT DURATION is 2 minutes and 27 seconds. This means that the operator waited for 50 seconds out of the total event time of 2 minutes before acknowledging the event. The operator acknowledged the event 3 times.
