Assembly Procedure

- Install ball bearing (10) in drive housing (1) .

Note: Lubricate ball bearing (10) with the lubricant that is being used.
- Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to install drive housing (1) onto gear (11). The weight of drive housing (1) is approximately 46.5 kg (2.0 lb).

- Clean the mating surfaces of drive housing (1) and bearing seal retainer (9). Apply a continuous bead of Tooling (B) to the mating surface of drive housing (1) .

- Install bearing seal retainer (9), lip seal (8), washers (7) and bolts (6). Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 55 ± 10 N·m (41 ± 7 lb ft).
- Install yoke assembly (5), O-ring (4), and retainer (3) .

- Install bolt (2) to the drive housing. Tighten bolt (2) to a torque of 120 ± 20 N·m (89 ± 15 lb ft).
