Description of Change: A new slider block kit provides a more comfortable ride. The new slider block kit is installed in the seat suspension. The new slider block kit includes adjustable setscrews that allow you to adjust the slide blocks laterally. You can adjust the slider blocks in order to eliminate lateral looseness in the seat.

Adaptable To: The new 166-7225 Slider Block Kit replaces the former 149-4745 Slider Block Kit. The new slider block kit is effective with seats that are manufactured starting 07January 1999. The new slider block kit is adaptable to earlier seat groups. Refer to the procedure in this article in order to adapt earlier seat groups.

Note: The procedure to adapt earlier seat groups is required when you replace the seat suspension .

Procedure to Adapt Earlier Seat Groups with the New Slider Block Kit

1. Remove the seat assembly from the machine. Separate the seat from the air suspension.

2. Drill two 7 mm holes on either the LH side or the RH side of the slide plate assembly. The holes allow you to adjust the setscrews. Refer to Illustration 2.

3. Remove the four slides from the previous design.

4. Install the four new slider blocks and the four new setscrews. The new slider blocks and the new setscrews are part of the new slider block kit. The new slider blocks and the new setscrews are not serviced separately.

5. Install the seat on the air suspension. Install the seat assembly in the machine.
