(1) Torque for the two bolts ... 120 ± 20 N·m (88 ± 15 lb ft)

(2) Lubricate the bore with a minimal amount of the lubricant that is being sealed.

(3) Lubricate the lip seal with a minimal amount of the lubricant that is being sealed.

(4) Torque for the four bolts ... 300 ± 40 N·m (220 ± 30 lb ft)

(5) Torque for the eight bolts ... 120 ± 20 N·m (88 ± 15 lb ft)

(6) Torque for one bolt ... 55 ± 10 N·m (40 ± 7 lb ft)

(7) 142-4431 Shim Pack

Total thickness of the shim pack ... 2.95 mm (.116 inch)

Thickness of eleven shims ... 0.05 mm (.002 inch)

Thickness of eight shims ... 0.30 mm (.012 inch)

Use the shims in order to provide 0.05 to 0.15 mm (.002 to .006 inch) end play on the output shaft, as required.
