New Alternator Mounting Bracket Now Used {1405}

- 3406E (S/N: 9WR1-UP)
Description of Change: A new alternator mounting bracket is now used on 3406E Marine Engines. The new alternator mounting bracket is shorter, stiffer, and more robust. The new bracket also has a natural frequency that is outside of the engine speed range that will make the bracket less susceptible to fatigue.
Adaptable To: The new 177-9539 Bracket Assembly replaces the former 124-3387 Bracket Assembly in the 124-3386 Alternator Mounting Group and the former 131-6200 Bracket Assembly in the 134-3460 Alternator Mounting Group. The new 177-9539 Bracket Assembly is effective with S/N:9WR01224
and the new bracket is adaptable to all earlier engines.
