定期检查蓄电池的充电情况就可以知道充电系统是否工作正常。 如果蓄电池经常充电不足或者需要大量补水时,就需要进行调整。 免维护蓄电池不用调整。 大量补水指的是每一个蓄电池单元每周或每100个工作小时需要补水超过一盎司以上。
如有可能尽量在发动机上进行充电机和调压器的测试,使用系统固有的线路和部件。 从发动机上拆下来进行测试或在测试台进行测试可以试验充电机和调压器的工作状况。 此测试可以指出所需进行的修理。 修理后,再进行测试以便验证部件经修理后恢复到原来正常的工作状态。
当交流发电机向蓄电池过度充电或交流发电机向蓄电池充电不足时,应检查交流发电机的充电率。
24伏系统的交流发电机的输出电压应为28 ± 1伏,12伏系统的交流发电机的输出电压应为14 ± 0.5伏。 交流发电机的调压器的充电率不可调。 如果充电率不正确,则需要更换调压器。 针对某一个交流发电机的输出电压,请参阅 规格, "交流发电机和调压器 "。
