Temperature Sensor (Ambient Air) - Remove and Install

Usage:

994D 3TZ

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Install the wheel chocks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel Chock (Front and Rear) - Remove and Install".
  2. Connect the frame lock link. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Frame Lock Link - Separate and Connect".

  1. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

  1. Remove eight bolts (1) and the washers that secure plate (2) to the platform and the cab. Use two people to remove plate (2) from the platform.

  1. Disconnect wiring harness (3) to air temperature sensor (4) at the electrical connection.

  1. Remove nut (5) that secures air temperature sensor (4) to the bracket assembly on the back of the cab.

  1. Remove air temperature sensor (4) from the bracket assembly on the back of the cab.

Installation Procedure

Note: Verify that all of the components of the air temperature sensor are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.

  1. Position air temperature sensor (4) to the bracket assembly on the back of the cab.

  1. Install nut (5) that secures air temperature sensor (4) to the bracket assembly on the back of the cab.

  1. Connect wiring harness (3) from air temperature sensor (4) at the electrical connection.

  1. Use two people to position plate (2) to the platform. Install eight bolts (1) and the washers that secure plate (2) to the platform and the cab.

End By:

  1. Separate the frame lock link. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Frame Lock Link - Separate and Connect".
  2. Remove the wheel chocks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel Chock (Front and Rear) - Remove and Install".
