Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Install the wheel chocks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel Chock (Front and Rear) - Remove and Install".
2. Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".

Note: For easier assembly, mark all hose assemblies, tube assemblies, wire harnesses and cables for identification purposes.

1. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

2. Remove eight bolts (1) and the washers that secure plate (2) to the platform and the cab. Use two people to remove plate (2) from the platform.

3. Disconnect two wiring harnesses (3) and (4) from electronic control module (5) .

4. Remove four bolts (6) and the washers that secure grounding strap (7) and electronic control module (8) to the bracket assembly on the cab. Remove electronic control module (8) from the bracket assembly on the cab.

5. Remove eight mounts (9) and the spacers from electronic control module (8). Remove grounding strap (7) from electronic control module (8) .

Installation Procedure

Note: Verify that all of the components of the electronic control module are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.

1. Install grounding strap (7) to electronic control module (8). Install eight mounts (9) and the spacers to electronic control module (8) .

2. Position electronic control module (8) to the cab. Install four bolts (6) and the washers that secure grounding strap (7) and electronic control module (8) to the bracket assembly on the cab.

3. Connect two wiring harnesses (3) and (4) to electronic control module (5) .

4. Use two people to position plate (2) to the platform. Install eight bolts (1) and the washers that secure plate (2) to the platform and the cab.

End By:

1. Separate the frame lock link. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Frame Lock Link - Separate and Connect".
2. Remove the wheel chocks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel Chock (Front and Rear) - Remove and Install".
