Normally, the initialization occurs when the Main Display Module is replaced. When the Main Display Module is replaced, there will be a new harness code. When a previously used main display module is used as a replacement, the initialization is also necessary. Unexplained diagnostics with the CAT Data Link can occur if the main display module is not initialized correctly.
This procedure causes the initialization process to occur on any Main Display Module. The Main Display Module must be powered up with a valid harness code. This harness code must be unique.
