The hydraulic system is a closed circuit system. The main components of the system are the hydraulic pump (1), hydraulic tank (2), control valve (3), intensifier (6), and cylinder (7) .
Note: Pump (1), hydraulic tank (2), and control valve (3) are components of the machine. These items are not discussed in this section. Refer to the machine Service Manual for more information.

Cylinder (7) is a double acting cylinder. Cylinder (7) and intensifier (6) provide the necessary force in order to operate the arms effectively.

Intensifier (6) is located on top of cylinder (7). Intensifier (6) is used to provide a boost to the hydraulic pressure. Intensifier (6) is only activated once system pressure reaches 10000 kPa (1450 psi). Intensifier (6) provides the necessary pressure in order to operate the work tool effectively.

Relief valve (4) is designed to relieve system pressure. The relief valve pressure setting is 15000 kPa (2175 psi). The relief valve (4) controls the input pressure to the intensifier (6).

Rotary manifold (5) is located in the upper housing. The rotary manifold (5) allows the work tool to rotate 360°. This protects the hydraulic lines from entanglement and damage. The rotary manifold (5) provides the necessary transfer of hydraulic oil to the lower housing.
