(1) Control Valve for the Air Tank Drain

Open control valve (1) for the air tank drain and check for moisture. If moisture is present in the air tank then the desiccant may need to be changed.

The following conditions may also cause condensation in the air system:

• The air tank has been charged with an outside source of air, which contaminated the system.

• The temperature range over a 24 hour period is greater than 30 degrees. This may cause small amounts of condensation in the air system.

If either of the previous conditions are adding moisture to the air system the desiccant may be okay.
